🐙 How to switch your Octotel fibre line to Atomic #

Follow these steps to seamlessly migrate your Octotel Fibre line to Atomic:

1. Cancel Your Current ISP Service
   Notify your existing ISP of your intent to cancel by submitting a cancellation request. Notice periods may vary depending on your contract, typically requiring one calendar month’s notice. Ensure your ISP provides written confirmation of the cancellation and the final service date.
2. Place Your Migration Order with Atomic
   Once you have the confirmed service end date, place an order for a Octotel migration with Atomic. Specify your desired start date for the new service. If the cancellation date changes, you can adjust the start date with us.
3. Early Migration (Optional)
   If you wish to switch before the notice period ends, have a look at the Urgent Migration section in this guide.
4. Prepare for Migration
   Octotel typically processes migrations at the end of each month. Atomic will notify you via email and SMS when the migration occurs, ensuring you’re informed. Upon migration, you’ll need to:
   • Update your router’s WAN/Internet configuration to DHCP if your previous ISP used PPPoE. Refer to our router settings guide: https://www.atomic.co.za/docs/router-settings/
   • If Atomic provided a new router, connect it as per the included instructions.
5. Track Your Order
   After placing your order, use the order number to check the status at any time by contacting our Onboarding team.
