Here are a few things you can do to prepare for when you need technical support.
Keep reading – we also share a few ways in which you can introduce friends to our epic internet services.
๐จ Prepare for the day you need support #
- Make sure you have a Gigabit Ethernet port or a Gigabit USB Ethernet adaptor, and get a spare Cat-6 Ethernet cable – these will be very useful when the fibre networks need a cabled speed test result to open a support ticket
- Make sure you have Gigabit link status between your fibre box and your router (Green LAN lights on both)
- Make sure you donโt have any 100Mbps Ethernet ports on your routers or switches (IoT devices with 100Mbps ports are not a problem)
- Itโs a good idea to upgrade to WiFi-6 or WiFi-7 devices – they are more reliable with longer range
- Donโt use WiFi extenders – rather use a mesh WiFi system, or run cables to your WiFi access points
- Read our WiFi guide and browse our many helpful support guides
- Consider getting a DC-UPS for your fibre box, or get a spare 12V Power Supply (1 Amp or more)
