๐๏ธ Request a repair #
Open a support ticket with Atomic and then send us a photo of the damage. We’ll ask you to confirm if you are happy with the costs and then open a ticket with the fibre network for you. The fibre network will then contact you to arrange a visit.
A fibre repair usually involves splicing, which requires a specialised device – it’s not as easy as replacing a copper Ethernet cable.
โ๏ธ Pricing #
Some networks have a standard fee, and some will ask a contractor to quote you on the repair work. In some cases we can add the repair cost to your next invoice. You may need to pay the contractor directly.
Pricing can change, but here are cost estimates at the time of writing this guide:
- Octotel: R1500 exVAT
- Vumatel: Quoted by contractor (usually around R1500)
- Frogfoot: Quoted by contractor (usually around R1500)
- Openserve: R1250 exVAT
